Early morning pickup from your Nairobi hotel, residence or agreed meeting point. Meet your professional driver-guide and begin the road journey north through central Kenya. Travel past changing agricultural and highland landscapes before continuing into the drier northern region. Arrive in the Samburu area around midday or early afternoon, depending on road conditions. Check in at your selected lodge or camp and enjoy lunch. Later, depart for your first afternoon game drive in Samburu National Reserve. Explore the reserve’s riverine habitats and open country in search of elephants, giraffes, zebra, antelopes and predators. Return to your lodge or camp in the evening for dinner and overnight.

Full Day Samburu National Reserve

Begin with an early morning game drive when wildlife is active and temperatures are cooler. Return to the lodge or camp for breakfast and a short rest. Later, continue exploring different parts of Samburu National Reserve. Your driver-guide will search productive wildlife areas along the Ewaso Nyiro River and surrounding dry-country habitats. Samburu is particularly known for northern species such as Grevy’s zebra, reticulated giraffe, gerenuk and Beisa oryx, as well as elephants, lions and a wide variety of birds.
